Es Torrent de Pareis 2001
This is a spectacular gorge walk in Mallorca. My article describing this
walk was published in the LDWA's magazine, Strider, in
December 2001. (Issue 91).

Description by David Gibson, with photos.
(There are 13 photos, all under 30K each; but I havent
thumbnailed them, so you need to download the lot, unless you turn 'images' off
in your browser).

LDWA Events 1996
Here are reports of fifteen 25 mile marathons I ran in 1996. These were
written up at the time, and some were published in the LDWA's magazine,
"Strider".

The Long Distance
Walkers Association (LDWA) was founded in 1971 with the aim of furthering
the interests of those who enjoy long distance walking. Its interest lies
mainly in extended walks in rural areas and especially those walks that exceed
20 miles in length. These can be organised marathons and events, whether open
to all or restricted to members of specific clubs or associations, or they can
be walks along long distance paths or other open challenges which may be
attempted at any time by any individuals or groups. Whilst such walks may be
competitive in the sense of a challenge, no emphasis is placed on any form of
road or race walking.
