Microsystem Solutions is (or was) an Electronic Design Consultancy, and the trading name of Dr. David Gibson MA, PhD, MIET. Currently, I am employed on a permanent contract as a research project manager by the Mines Rescue Service Ltd, so my ability to offer freelance consultancy is limited. My fields of work are:

• LF/VLF radio research, with emphasis on induction radio in caving & mining.
• Electronic hardware design (analogue and digital)
• Microcontroller/microprocessor/PIC/PC software
• Expert in Forth language software
• Web authoring, including JavaScript and PHP

I have an MA degree in Maths/Engineering from Cambridge University and a PhD from the University of Leeds (School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering). Consultancy rates are currently £450/day or £60/hour. A lower rate is applicable to long-term contracts and web-page design.
